Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in Stony Brook, NY, seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team serving geriatric residents.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, and bedside treatments with independent practice. Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage; experience with tracheotomy and long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Record daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
