Qualifications

• Must maintain an active and valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF/Long term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Help residents achieve their goals to improve cognition or swallowing.
• Provide skilled speech and language therapy assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe language disorders.
• Coordinate for diagnostic swallowing procedures as ordered.

Skills

Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology

Long term care experience
