Job summary

ClarkLindsey Village in Urbana, IL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help residents regain movement, reduce pain, and improve functional mobility under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

The PTA will carry out treatment programs, assist with gait and balance training, document care, ensure safe use of equipment, and participate in restorative programs to support independence.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• CPR certification.
• Geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The PTA provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
• Carry out treatment programs as established by the supervising PT.
• Assist with gait training, balance exercises, therapeutic activities, and functional mobility tasks.
• Document resident care and communicate progress or concerns to the PT.
• Ensure safe and proper use of therapy equipment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination and restorative programs.
