Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services in Concord, NH seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance daily function through therapeutic activities and careful documentation.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in PTA program.
• Current state license or certification as a PTA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with geriatric patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to patient needs and provide individualized care.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for exercises and devices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Physical Therapist to create and implement geriatric treatment plans.
• Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and techniques.
• Assist with walkers or canes to improve mobility and safety.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses for holistic patient care.
• Keep the therapy area clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Stay current with PT best practices through ongoing education.
