Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our geriatric care team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help older adults regain movement and manage pain, performing evaluations and implementing treatment plans.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, educating patients and families, and collaborating with a broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility in schedule and willingness to adapt to changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a variety of physical conditions, focusing on the geriatric population
• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports
