Job summary
Access Healthcare Associates (AHA) seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to support behavioral health in older adults across assisted living, memory care, and senior living communities. The role emphasizes collaboration, education, and leadership with a remote-friendly consultative model.
Strong preference for candidates in Orange County or Los Angeles, but remote-friendly from other locations is considered.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active, unrestricted medical license.
- Experience working with geriatric populations, dementia care, assisted living, memory care, or senior behavioral health preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric consultation and support to NP and PA providers managing complex behavioral health cases.
- Offer guidance on psychotropic medication management, dementia-related behaviors, depression, anxiety, and care escalation.
- Lead biweekly case reviews, interdisciplinary discussions, and educational sessions.
- Collaborate with assisted living communities, caregivers, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and clinical leadership opportunities.
