Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse (Geriatric) to join our inpatient psychiatry unit. You will provide full-range psychiatric nursing care, assessments, planning, administration, and evaluation per treatment plans, under the direction of the care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Maryland RN license (or compact state) at appointment and maintain it.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Geriatric/Med-Surg experience a plus (1 year minimum).

Responsibilities

• Provide full-range professional psychiatric nursing care per treatment plans.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and monitor patient progress.
• Educate and support patients and families; document progress in chart.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to Mental Health Workers or staff.
