Job summary

The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for day and evening shifts on a PRN basis in a 22-bed residential program. You will provide a full range of psychiatric nursing services in a multidisciplinary treatment setting.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• Available to work day and evening shifts on weekdays as well as every other weekend.
• Must be eligible for Sheppard Pratt driver's license.
• AHA CPR certification required before first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participating in assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care per treatment plans.
• Administering medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teaching and providing psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Providing day-to-day clinical direction to Mental Health Workers or other staff.
• Documenting and reporting patient progress to treatment team.
• Transporting residents to appointments and activities on and off campus.
• Conducting therapeutic groups for residents.
• Attending to emergency codes throughout hospital.
