Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Therapy team in Nebraska. The position offers base salary plus incentives and potential total earnings of $195,000+ annually.

Responsibilities include direct psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, DSM-5 disorder diagnoses, and collaborative care with psychiatrists. Requires Nebraska nursing and pharmacy licenses, malpractice coverage, and geriatric psychiatry

Qualifications

• Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
