TeamHealth is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Martinsville, VA to provide high-quality behavioral health care for older adults in post-acute and long-term care settings. Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• Open to experienced or new-grad PMHNPs or Psych PAs.
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
