Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Fayetteville, NC to provide autonomous, weekday-based care in post-acute/long-term settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with care teams, remote documentation support, and a strong clinical autonomy framework.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat older adults, manage psychotropic medications, and participate in a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C license
• Active DEA license or willingness to obtain
• All experience levels welcome for PMHNP or Psych PA
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status exams
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns for patients
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
