Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team.

In this role you will perform treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to deliver patient-centered geriatric care in a 95-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must hold a valid Florida PTA license/registration.
• Provide treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term/geriatric care is preferred.
• Strong documentation skills are required.
• Document patient progress on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability and punctuality at all times.
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, and residents' rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by the PT and communicate progress.
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervising PT as required by policy.
