Job summary

Gastonia Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to help residents regain function in a skilled nursing environment. You will support therapists, implement treatment plans, and educate patients to maintain progress after discharge.

Requirements include an associate degree as a PTA and a current North Carolina license. Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate health records are essential. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant within the state in which you work.
• Must have an Associate’s Degree in a Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Return resident to optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals in a SNF setting.
• Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification.
