Job summary

The Orchards at Wayne in Wayne, Michigan is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, and guide mobility and independence outcomes through evidence-based therapies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, document progress with thorough notes, communicate with residents' families, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• PT degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapist license in Michigan.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' physical abilities and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Provide physical therapy treatments including exercises and modalities to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
• Use manual therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound as appropriate for recovery.
• Assess barriers to activity participation and address limitations.
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about progress.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and progress.
• Participate in staff meetings and training to share knowledge.
