Job summary

Odom Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide outpatient physical therapy within our geriatric-focused program. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement plans of care in line with state guidelines and OHW protocols.

You will deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, balance training, and patient education, while coordinating with physicians to optimize recovery and functional independence for residents and community members.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program required.
• One year PTA experience preferred.
• Experience in primary health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients per state guidelines.
• Follow Plans of Care and update goals as patients progress.
• Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and training for movements.
• Educate patients and families on self-management of conditions.
• Assess adaptive equipment and develop discharge plans.
• Document treatment daily and submit charges for services.
• Communicate with physicians and OHW staff regarding patient status.
• Contribute to updating OHW treatment protocols as needed.
