Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist with testing and provide restorative services to participants at the center and in their homes. You will help implement the care plan, promote independence, safety, and ADL performance, and collaborate with the rehab team to support seniors.

Responsibilities include administering treatment, documenting outcomes, scheduling visits, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting with frail or elderly population.
• Ability to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
• Highly motivated and self-directed; able to adapt in changing environments.
• Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills with seniors and families.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong prioritization in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Commitment to unlocking the full potential of vulnerable seniors.

Responsibilities

• Administer participants' treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with the rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of treatment, clinical visits, and billing.
• Deliver and document Occupational Therapy interventions as per established care plans.
• Provide training and instructions on therapeutic equipment use and care.
• Manage and track equipment maintenance.
• Communicate any changes in participants' condition or functional status to the Occupational Therapist/IDT.
• Participate in end-of-life care coordination and support under supervision.
• Ensure legal authorization to practice in the location and adhere to practice scope.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality of all procedures and information.
• Follow company policies and participate in Quality Improvement activities, staff training, and meetings.
• Regularly communicate with Supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.
• Complete all mandated training and occupational health screenings timely.
• Exercise flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
