Job summary

Healthcare Rehabilitation Center in Northern Colorado seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. This facility serves a midsize population of long-term residents with low staffing ratios and a seasoned clinical team.

The role offers full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules with a focus on patient progress, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to documentation standards within a geriatric care setting.

Qualifications

• COTA certification is required.
• Experience in geriatric care is preferred.
• Ability to work with a diverse resident population.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining the department.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in staff training programs in the facility.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures.
