Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist the clinical implementation of treatment programs in both day health and community settings. The role includes documenting treatments, coordinating with other disciplines, and participating in care conferences to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements include a Michigan COTA license, an AOTA‑approved degree, and at least one year of geriatrics experience.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan COTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of AOTA approved school with an associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of one year experience in geriatrics required.
• Effective written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans as outlined in the OT evaluation.
• Carry out and modify treatment plans in day health center and community settings.
• Document daily and weekly treatments in medical records.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for total patient care.
• Delegate work assignments to support staff as needed.
• Participate in care conferences and QA initiatives.
• Maintain inventory and a clean clinical area.
• Rotate to other facilities as assigned.
