Job summary

Kensington-Gardens-Rehab-and-Nursing-Center-2, a Skilled Nursing Facility in Florida, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team. The OT evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides therapy to promote independence, safety, and quality of life.

Candidates must hold a Florida OT license and have advanced OT education. SNF experience is preferred, with emphasis on ADLs, cognition, safety, and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT license in good standing in Florida.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide therapy focusing on ADLs, mobility, strength, and safety.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Supervise COTAs as applicable.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with regulations.
