Job summary

Winter Garden Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility rehabilitation team. The OT evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides occupational therapy services to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.

The role emphasizes ADLs, functional mobility, cognition, and equipment education within a Medicare-compliant framework.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT license in good standing in Florida.
• Geriatric rehab knowledge and Medicare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation per Medicare and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Supervise COTAs as applicable.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with regulations.
