Job summary
The Palmettos of Charleston in Charleston, SC is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead clinical services for our senior care community. This full-time role focuses on nursing administration, patient care quality, and team leadership within a compassionate, team-oriented environment.
The DON will oversee nursing practice, coordinate rehabilitation and partner relations, maintain clinical competency, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and resident well-being.
Qualifications
- Active SC RN or LPN license (Baccalaureate or MS preferred).
- Experience in geriatrics and nursing administration.
- Caring, compassionate, team player.
- DON experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership in nursing admin, practice, rehab, partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clinical competency via nursing knowledge and leadership.
- Utilize nursing process in assessment, planning, and care delivery.
- Prioritize patient care needs through workflow management.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement and problem solving.
- Lead nursing administration, practice, rehab and partner relations.
