The Village at Rockville is seeking a compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) for PRN/on-call coverage in a premier senior living community. You may work day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a focus on resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Maryland GNA certification required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in senior living or related healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care while preserving resident dignity and independence.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the nursing team.
• Support residents during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using safe techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment with resident interactions.
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to provide exceptional care.

Compensation & Benefits

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour (final compensation is based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, certifications, and overall qualifications).

What You'll Do

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, you will:

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care while preserving resident dignity and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the nursing team
• Support residents during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using safe resident handling techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment through meaningful resident interactions
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care

What We're Looking For

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience in senior living, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach
• Ability to work flexible PRN schedules, including any shift as needed
• Ability to read and speak English
