Job summary

The Village at Rockville is seeking a compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our team on a PRN/On-Call basis, with day, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts in Rockville, MD.

As part of a resident-centered community, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor resident conditions, support meals, and collaborate with the nursing team to provide outstanding care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Previous experience in senior living, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach.
• Ability to work flexible PRN schedules, including any shift as needed.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care while preserving resident dignity and independence.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the nursing team.
• Support residents during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using safe resident handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment through meaningful resident interactions.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care.
