Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the direction of registered nurses in the Parent Child Division at Weymouth, MA. The role includes safe patient transport, dispatch tasks, and documenting services rendered.

Responsibilities also include acting as an observer when needed, performing reception and clerical duties, and maintaining safety and compliance with hospital policies. BLS certification is required and prior CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education — High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under the direction of the RN.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Handle dispatch services and documentation of services rendered.
• Act as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation as needed.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations.
