Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in the SSH Emergency Department in Weymouth, MA. This part-time role (32 hours) involves day shifts, patient transport, and front-line patient interactions.

You will assist licensed personnel, perform basic documentation, and participate in safety and privacy practices to ensure high-quality care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or as offered by SSH.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to interface with patients, families and staff respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under licensed personnel supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Observe and report patient data/status to the RN as directed.
• Maintain safety practices and privacy of patient information.
