Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant in Weymouth, MA to support patient care across nursing units. The role includes safe transport of patients, dispatch duties, and documenting services rendered.

The incumbent will function as an observer for patients requiring constant observation and perform general receptionist tasks to keep the unit running smoothly. Requires BLS certification, basic medical terminology knowledge, and good communication/documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• 7a-3:30p, rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care across nursing areas under licensed personnel.
• Safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Dispatch services and documents services rendered.
• Observer for patients requiring constant observation to maximize safety.
• Performs receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit operations.
