Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across nursing areas at Weymouth, MA. You will assist with safe patient transport, documentation, and observation duties under licensed staff, contributing to a safe and efficient unit.

The role requires BLS, basic medical terminology, and strong communication; ACLS certifications are highly valued and may be required for advanced roles. This is a night-shift, full-time position in SSH Med Surg Floats.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education - High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Basic medical terminology, basic computer skills, ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• N12x3/wk, every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under licensed personnel.
• Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services rendered.
• Observe and report patient data/status to RN.
• Maintain a culture of safety and adherence to hospital policies.
• Operate department software and function during downtime.
