Job summary

Winona Health in Winona, Minnesota is seeking a Trained Medication Assistant for Adith Miller/Roger Metz Manors. This 1.0 FTE role (80 hours per pay period) entails direct resident care with a geriatrics focus and assisting with medication administration under a licensed nurse's direction.

You'll follow the five rights, maintain safety and dignity, participate in daily ADLs, and collaborate with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school/GED/equivalent is required
• TMA course or successfully completed LPN/RN course medication administration class
• CPR Certification
• Basic computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook, Cerner/EMR/American Data

Responsibilities

• Administration of medications following the 5 rights: right drug, dose, resident, time, route with knowledge of medications
• Accurate and efficient medication administration with critical thinking and strong work ethic
• Report concerns or changes in resident conditions to the licensed nurse
• Participate in and complete all daily ADLs for residents
• Communicate clearly and follow instructions explicitly
• Engage residents using Moving Well techniques (dance, storytelling, touch)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
