Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of clinical geriatrics and nursing facility medical practices.
• Familiarity with state regulations governing medical and nursing services.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate medical care to ensure residents receive appropriate care.
• Maintain residents' highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
• Oversee practitioners, including NPs, within regulatory scope.
• Meet with department directors about medical and functional needs.
• Assist in planning and developing facility's medical and nursing programs.
• Provide rotating on-call services and crisis coverage.
