Job summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Medical Director/Attending Physician to oversee comprehensive care for residents in long-term care settings. This leadership role focuses on quality, patient outcomes, and clinical governance while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will mentor clinicians, lead credentialing, participate in QAPI, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive new programs that enhance geriatric care.

Qualifications

• CMD certification is preferred.
• Extensive LTC or skilled nursing facility experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Lead credentialing and recruitment for medical staff.
• Chair the QAPI Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure DOH survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Implement new clinical programs and geriatric care initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while guiding the team.
