Job summary

Trinity Grove is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department at our Wilmington, NC community. The DON will establish a person-centered care framework, manage staff to uphold high standards, and ensure regulatory compliance across departments.

The role requires a nursing degree, NC RN licensure, and at least two years in geriatric nursing with supervisory experience. CPR certification is required or obtainable; on-call duties are included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric nursing and supervisory roles.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• Geriatric nurse certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities within the nursing department.
• Collaborate to review and update policies and procedures.
• Develop a master staffing plan to meet objectives and uphold standards.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets; assess facilities, supplies, and equipment.
• Design, implement, and evaluate programs for nursing personnel.
• Coordinate with administrative and other departments to plan resident services.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting; provide administrative nursing status reports.
• Serve as primary contact between medical personnel and the nursing department.
• Undertake on-call responsibilities as required.
