Job summary

Uphams Corner Health Center in Roxbury, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the PACE Center's nursing and primary care teams. You will perform phlebotomy, obtain vital signs, monitor supplies, and help manage medications under supervision.

The role requires certification in Medical or Clinical Assisting and at least 1 year with geriatric patients; bilingual abilities are a plus. Day shift, full-time, 40 hours weekly, with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Certification in Medical or Clinical Assisting.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with geriatric population.
• Bi-lingual in English, Spanish, Haitian, and Cape Verdean is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to nursing and primary care staff at the PACE Center.
• Record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and monitor data.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures at the PACE Center and during home visits.
• Assist with EKG procedures.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision.
• Maintain treatment rooms and organize supplies.
• Participate in the UESP QAPI Program and related interventions.
• Monitor temperature logs and medication expiration dates.
