Responsibilities

• Prepares foods for cooks and assists with meal preparation.
• Ensures appropriate quantities per standardized recipes.
• Maintains portion control and dietary requirements.
• Attends mandatory inservices and works with the team.
• Follows kitchen procedures aligned with regulations and policies.
• Monitors production, waste and portion accuracy.
• Prepares meals and side dishes per menu specifications.
• Prepares cold foods as needed and aligns with serving times.
• Ensures quality, temperature, and appearance of meals.
• Adjusts production sheets for current diet and census.
• Directs and serves portions in dining areas and tray service.
• Delivers meals to residents and staff as required.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Checks perishable items and proper storage/rotation.
• Performs cleaning of kitchen and serving areas as scheduled.
• Ensures resident satisfaction according to preferences.
• Adapts shift assignments to meet facility needs.
• Complies with Code of Conduct and Compliance Program.
