Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee unit care, administer medications, and guide nursing assistants with daily ADLs for residents in a Florida care center. You will ensure quality care, coordinate with care plans, and support physicians during rounds.

Responsibilities include shift reporting, patient rounds every two hours, and maintaining accurate documentation. A Florida LPN license and CPR certification are required, with a preference for geriatric care experience.

Qualifications

• Practical Nurse licensed in the state of employment
• Minimum one year of education or experience in geriatric nursing or rehabilitation preferred
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including the administration of medications
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• CPR certified

Responsibilities

• Holds daily shift report with nursing assistants and reviews assignments
• Makes rounds on assigned residents at least every two hours
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborates to develop and maintain nursing care plans
• Assists attending physician with rounds and procedures
• Transcribes and implements physician orders
• Notifies physician/family of changes in resident condition
• Documents evaluations and disciplinary actions for staff
• Completes routine documentation and audits
• Participates in hiring, interviewing and orientation of nursing assistants
• Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
