Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, adhering to health code requirements, estimating supplies, and participating in continuing education to support high-quality geriatric care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• English language reading, writing and speaking required.
• Knowledgeable about dietary techniques and procedures.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks per posted menu; adheres to special diets.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Keeps work area clean, organized and sanitized, including washing pots/pans.
• Knows health code requirements for food storage and hot/cold holding temps; maintains documentation.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions.
• Maintains a safe, clean and respectable work environment.
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
