Job summary

Lebanon Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards while following our policies and procedures to ensure quality service.

The ideal candidate has the ability to follow directions, work tactfully with residents and staff, and maintain safety and cleanliness. Experience with elderly or disabled populations is a plus, and a patient, cheerful disposition is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Tactful communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of needs of elderly, ill, or disabled residents.
• Patience, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm to handle difficult residents.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to others' health or safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as policy and procedures.
• Ensure quality food service is provided at all times.
• Assist the Food Services Director or designee as directed.
