Must have a high school education, sanitation certification, and the ability to cook large quantities; teamwork with elders and a compassionate, professional approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Sanitation certificate is required.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures.
• Hospital or skilled nursing kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with food preparation for meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Follow dietary restrictions and provide alternatives for residents.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrate empathy and work with residents with limited self-care.
