Job summary

Medicalodges is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents per physician orders and the resident plan of care. This PRN role supports a 100% employee-owned family of facilities focused on high-quality senior care.

You will perform rounds, document findings, update care plans, administer medications, and respond to resident and family concerns. Must hold valid LPN license in the state and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing in the state of the facility
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice
• Interest in geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Performs resident reviews on admission, monitors health status, and documents findings in the electronic clinical record
• Updates the care plan with changes in resident status and communicates changes to licensed and direct care staff
• Administers and documents medication, treatment, and procedures per physician orders and resident plan of care
• Responds to and documents resident and family concerns and actions taken
• Routinely performs rounds to verify residents are in a safe and comfortable environment and receiving planned care
• Assists in activities of daily living of residents
• Supervises, assigns and assists in nursing activities of the direct care staff
