Banner Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for the Geriatric Psy unit at Banner University Medical Center - South Campus in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on direct patient care for an elderly psychiatric population, with duties spanning daily living activities, safety monitoring, and collaboration with nurses and therapists.

The position supports a night shift from 7PM to 7:30AM, with weekend/holiday rotations and potential use of a self-scheduling tool.

Qualificações

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health related field or equivalent experience and education.
• 1 year of direct patient care in inpatient behavioral health setting if using HS diploma.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides basic nursing care to patients, monitors vitals, assists with activities of daily living.
• Assists in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and observes patient behavior.
• Interacts therapeutically with patients and families, supports group activities.
• Maintains knowledge of medications and side effects relevant to patient care.
• Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer processes and documents in medical records.
• Works under moderate supervision and collaborates with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
