Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke, MA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to care for geriatric patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit. The role focuses on assessments, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with the treatment team.

The new Older Adult Unit offers 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. A Massachusetts RN license is required, BSN preferred, and experience in psychiatric/inpatient

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts required.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric or inpatient settings preferred.
• Experience with dementia, cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, or behavioral disturbances preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment modalities.
• Understanding of Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Crisis management and time management skills; ability to multi-task and stay calm.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide nursing care to geriatric behavioral health patients and support families/guardians.
• Contribute to treatment plans with goals and interventions based on patient needs.
