Job summary

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver high-quality care to elderly and medically complex residents in a long-term care facility. The NP/PA will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, manage chronic conditions, and ensure the overall well-being of residents.

The AP Provider will perform rounds, coordinate orders, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR, while

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA license and board certification.
• DEA registration and state licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with healthcare staff.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing.

Responsibilities

• Perform rounds in the facility, taking history and conducting exams with documentation in the EMR.
• Organize rounding schedule, notes, labs and imaging reports in the EHR.
• Communicate with Director of Nursing and floor nurses about concerns and orders.
• Be the first point of contact for nurses; handle after-hours calls as needed.
• Notate findings and treatment course with follow-up notes in the patient chart.
• Manage special projects and duties as assigned; this is a safety-sensitive position.
