Job summary

Cura-Health is seeking an Activity Assistant to help plan and carry out a therapeutic activity program for residents in a nursing facility. You will work under the Activity Director to support care plans and group activities.

The role requires the ability to maintain records, interact compassionately with geriatric residents, and participate in in-service training. In-person work location with day, afternoon, and evening shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with residents, singly and in groups to meet treatment objectives and goals in care plans.
• Motivate residents to participate in activity programs and maintain program quality.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, supervisors and co-workers at all times.
• Supervise volunteers in activity groups and assist in special events and activities.
