Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Charlestown invites you to join our Programming team as a Program Assistant. This 20-hour weekly role focuses on enriching residents’ lives through physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional activities tailored to individual needs and interests.

You will facilitate programs, escort residents on group trips, collaborate with volunteers, monitor resident needs, and help manage supplies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with geriatric population or related fields preferred.
• Experience as Activities Assistant in licensed health care facility preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings, per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured and impromptu programs for residents in common areas and rooms.
• Escort residents on group trips and excursions, ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with team members, management, and volunteers to deliver engaging programs and activities.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ needs and preferences to the Programming Manager.
• Manage program supplies and equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Participate in team discussions on programming, schedules, and resident issues.
• Prepare and implement activity programs based on the Program Manager’s guidance.
• Lead and set up both group and individual activities, motivating and assisting participants.
