Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Proficiency in arts/crafts/music preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledgeable of activities practices, laws, regulations and guidelines in post-acute care.
• Ability to implement programs, goals, policies and procedures of the activities department.
• Demonstrates integrity and professionalism and follows Life Care’s Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and develop quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities, including driving when needed.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients who are uninterested or unable to participate.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients and maintain dependable attendance.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and follow policies and confidentiality requirements.
