Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed or registered activities professional per state law.
• Eligible for certification as activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one year full-time in a therapeutic activities program.
• Prior geriatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and develop quality activity programs for patients.
• Document patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to activities, including driving when needed.
• Conduct in-room visits to engage patients not participating in groups.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards patients.
• Ensure compliance with policies and code of conduct.
