Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and directing quality activity programs for patients. You will address recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs in compliance with Life Care standards.

The role emphasizes patient engagement, safety, and teamwork within post-acute care settings. A high school diploma and driving privileges are required for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients unable to participate.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Operate as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain safety, patient rights, and sanitation.
