Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is hiring an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities by planning and coordinating engaging patient activities. The role focuses on recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Life Care standards.

A high school diploma and a preference for geriatrics experience are required; a valid driver's license is also needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs for patients.
• Chart patient progress and behaviour descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
