Job summary

Ormat Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the Dixie Valley Power Plant outside Fallon, NV. The role focuses on maintaining mechanical systems, performing welding and fabrication, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance on-site.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, process work orders, and supporting plant operations. Travel to remote locations and weekend work may be required; a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or related field
• Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams, one-line diagrams, and design/analysis reports
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet use
• Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• May be required to obtain Class B or Class A CDL – Tank Endorsement

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow environmental and operational rules, safety procedures
• Weld and fabricate pipe spools, flanges, fittings and structural items
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical equipment to support plant operations
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks
• Travel to other locations as needed
• Provide coaching to junior technicians
• Process work orders and assist in inventory and parts requisitioning
