Job summary

The role performs welding/fabrication of spools, repairs and routine maintenance to keep plant operations efficient. Candidates should have at least 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience, be able to read piping diagrams, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3–4 years of high school level training.
• At least 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• Hands-on experience with power production equipment, turbines, and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams, one-line diagrams, and related reports.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems methodically.
• Must read/write/speak English proficiently for safe job performance.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• May require Class B or Class A CDL – Tank Endorsement if needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow environmental, safety, and operating rules.
• Adhere to safety procedures as required by ORMAT, CAPP, and OSHA.
• Weld and fabricate pipe spools, flanges, fittings and structural items.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical equipment to support plant operations.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks and provide improvement recommendations.
• Operate a vehicle safely; occasional travel to project sites.
