Job summary

Calpine, Middletown, CA, seeks a journey-level technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment at our geothermal facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and support safe, compliant operations while assisting with planned maintenance and spare parts inventory.

Requirements include a high school diploma or technical training, 6+ years of related experience, knowledge of health and safety regulations, with welding and machine tools skills and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

6+ years of related experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and hazardous energy handling.
Welding skills and operation of machine tools (lathes, mills).
Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and/or electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
Inspect and verify maintenance clearances prior to work and troubleshoot.
Disassemble, reassemble, and replace equipment and parts as needed.
Assist with planning and spare parts inventory and reports.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and safe operations.
